Senioritis Love
By Ryan Gonzales - Web Staff Writer
11/30/07 -

Hi my name is Ryan Gonzalez. I was thinking about saying something standard and boring, but I decided not to. The truth is, I really want to finish high school really bad just so I can look back and see how much I am going to miss it. For all you underclassman out there, there is no rush to grow up fast because you really don't know how good you have something until its gone, and school is one of those things. Right now you are probably thinking to yourself how much you hate school and how boring it is, but it really is the best part of your life. You get to hang out with your friends every day if you want to and once that is gone I guarantee that you will look back on your high school life and miss seeing the people you know and love. Chances are actually, you won't see very many people at all that you used to know and that will be a bad feeling when you come to the realization of this. Yes, there is the opportunity in the workplace and at college that you are going to meet new friends but it just wont ever be the same, so enjoy it.

So far I am enjoying my senior year at Peninsula and it is by far the best one yet. After all of my college applications were done and taking the SAT, it is pretty much a breeze and a good time through the rest of the year. The Senioritis is already getting to me, but its okay, because the teachers completely understand.

Highschool Hell
By Alice Yang - Web Staff Writer

Junior year is one of the most hectic years in high school. AP's, SAT's, subject tests & the work load just piles on and on. There are, however, simple pleasures now and then. Like the increased consumption of coffee and sugar during the year, for the all-nighters.

As workloads are piled on each week, one of my acquaintances formulated the ingenious postulate of junior year: Each week is always the worst week of the year, and each week will always be even worse than the previous. And so, apart from the massive amounts of homework, we have more studying, more cramming than ever before.

A new hobby I acquired during Junior year is the habit of counting down the days till the next holiday to keep my mind off the stresses of academic works. The next closest holiday will be spring break. 12 more days until bliss.
