Thanksgiving. It’s that time of the year when you can stuff yourself to the point where you feel like passing out and no one can judge you. It’s when you get a four days of no school, with almost no homework, and a chance to relax. But what is Thanksgiving really? In my opinion, it is when you get rid of the food and the time to just sit around, at the end of the day, and appreciate the best of life and making sure you made the best of it.
Here is what I’m thankful for: I am thankful for my family who supports me through thick and thin, my friends who I can laugh and just be plain goofy with, the roof I live under, the bed I have to sleep in, the clothes I am privileged to wear, the wonderful school I am able to attend, and all my teachers who are preparing me to succeed. I send my thanks to the troops (including my cousin) who risk their lives every single day to protect me and the rest of the country.
Thanksgiving gives us all the opportunity to express our thanks to the people we love. What are you thankful for?
