Yellow Ribbon Week, led by Peers Leading United Students (PLUS), was a great success. With the help of the PTSA, PLUS students hosted many fun Yellow Ribbon Week activities, and decorated the whole campus with yellow ribbons.

This year, the Yellow Ribbon Week theme is building resilience in teens and preparing them to thrive in the outside world. On Wednesday, Dr. Ken Ginsberg, a pediatrician specializing in Adolescent medicine at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine, gave a presentation on resilience and stress. He discussed how to deal with stress, like distinguishing paper tigers from real tigers, and how to build resilience to help teens with the transition to the outside world. He discussed that we must love to learn rather than fear failure. For more information about the presentation, please check Rebecca's in depth article.

On Friday at lunch, the PLUS students hosted a "No Stress Rally" in the amphitheater. There was great music, and fun, interactive dances like the electric slide and Macarena.

Special thanks to Camille Perey, Kelly Woo, Juliette Struye, Megan Nagasaki, Dustin Kee, Justin Fuh, Joyce Swisher, Daniel Lui, and David Lee who helped decorate the campus.
