As you all know, we are drawing close to the end of the school year for many of our kids; but for our graduating seniors (class of 2008), it’s the last days of high school and the last days with their friends. You may also know that our senior parents of Peninsula have always tried to plan a great Grad Nite for our seniors. This year is no exception. Therefore, we are asking for your help.

As we get closer to June 12th (Grad Nite), we are finding out that there are many things left undone. Since we are solely funded by Grad Nite fees and parental donations, our funds are limited, and we are in dire need of donations, prizes, and volunteers. We are few in numbers and can only do so much with what we have. We understand that many of you work, have more than one child, and have other obligations as we all do, but if everyone was too busy, then our kids would not have a special Grad Nite and would just go to Disneyland like most other schools. This would be easier for us all, but our kids at Peninsula (class of 2008) deserve better. They have all worked really hard to get to this point, and it’s a great way for them to say farewell and have one more “Grad Bash” with their classmates.

Whether you can volunteer or donate or know someone that can volunteer or donate businesses/companies are welcomed, we would greatly appreciate it. The more donations and prizes we have the more we can do for our kids. Thank you for your support of this memorable event.

Ideas for donations: Money or be a sponsor
Prizes: Gift certificates, gift cards, small gifts for college students Grad Nite Committee:

There will be games, a DJ, break dancing, a Silver Spur retrospective and yummy food including In-N-Out Burgers. Come see old friends and teachers and remember what it was like to be a kid! (16)

COLLEGE CAREER CENTER
Seniors, please take the time to fill out two important surveys for the CCC – the Senior Information Survey and the Student Post Graduation Survey. Both of these will help future Peninsula students in their college search.

Please update the merit scholarships you received on your Naviance account. Every year we keep track of the total dollar amount of scholarships received by Peninsula students and we would like to report this again for the class of 2008.
